Geiranger Fjord has stunning mountains and waterfalls. I was lucky enough to catch this shot of the sun coming up over the mountain.
Luxembourg is a beautiful city to wander round with spectacular views from all around.
Brixham is a small fishing town in the district of Torbay in the county of Devon, in the south-west of England. Brixham is popular for it’s fishing and tourism and has one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK. It lies at the southern end of Tor bay and across the water from Torquay.
In this shot I have edited it to bring out the clarity in the water. I love the intense colours in this scene.
I was excited to travel over this winding road as it is well known. However the day became much more exciting when we were stopped by some traffic men. I asked why they had stopped us and they told me that the BBC were filming for the A word. This is a story about a little autistic boy and the opening scene is always of him walking along this road with his headphones on.
Eventually we were allowed to proceed and as we passed by the tents I saw a few of the actors having a cuppa. I would have stopped and got some shots but my husband was driving. So this photograph will always remind me of that day and that programme.
This is the view from Calton Hill looking out towards Edinburgh Castle. Calton Hill is situated at the East end of Princes Street in Edinburgh. The panoramic views from the hill top are well worth seeing.
Hardknott Pass, and then Wrynose Pass in the Lake District, is a single track road right through the middle of the Lake District. It is very steep and twisting but the views are well worth it.

The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower situated on the Champ de Mars in Paris. The tower is 1,063 feet tall and is the tallest structure in Paris. This is a very popular place to visit in Paris.
La Maison Rose is located in the streets behind the Sacre Coeur Basilica. A coffee shop has been at La Maison Rose for over a hundred years. It used to be frequented by writers and even Picasso visited this building.
Visiting Brixham you will find many little streets, many of which are a steep climb. However it is well worth making the effort as the views on the way up are amazing.
The Jurassic Coast is found on the English Channel coast of southern England. It was given World Heritage status in 2001 and stretches from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset.

Brixham is known for it’s colourful houses which surround the harbour. When visiting be prepared for a few steep climbs because the town is hilly and some of the best views can be seen from the top of the town. In the past Brixham had two distinct communities the area at the top of the hill was known as Cowtown and the harbour area was known as Fishtown.
Ålesund is situated on the west coast of Norway, at the entrance to the Geirangerfjord. Following a fire in 1904 the town was rebuilt in art nouveau architectural style. From the Mount Aksla lookout you will find panoramic views of Ålesund.
The views from Mount Dalsnibba are breathtaking. Looking around the viewpoint you can see Geiranger in the distance and snow covered peaks everywhere. Hundreds of stone stacks cover the plateau area and it is considered good luck to build one.
The view from Mount Dalsnibba is well worth the journey up the Nibbevegen Road. At it’s highest point Mount Dalsnibba is 1,476 m high.
Geiranger is a village in western Norway, at the head of Geirangerfjord. It is surrounded by stunning mountains and waterfalls. Travel up the twisting road to the Flydalsjuvet lookout from where you can see the seven sisters waterfall.
Hellesylt is a small village in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village has a spectacular waterfall cascading through it’s centre. The views down the fjord are spectacular.

Belhaven Bay is a wonderful dune-backed beach with rich salt marsh and colourful grasslands. The views stretch across the Forth Estuary and out to the Bass Rock. Belhaven Beach is a great place to walk the dog, do some surfing or simply sit and enjoy the scenery.
Belhaven has the most spectacular sunsets.
Monaco
Monaco is a tiny independent city-state on France’s Mediterranean coastline. Travelling along the Moyenne Corniche the views are spectacular. All that is needed is an open top car and pair of sunglasses and you can dream about the lifestyle.
Zurich
If you are visiting Zurich then climb up to ETH Zurich where from the Polyterrasse you get a fantastic view across Zurich. Well worth the climb although you can take the Polybahn up. (funicular railway) Be warned that at lunchtime the place is hoaching with students from the Universities.
Luxembourg
A wander around Luxembourg will bring you to the Casemates du Bock. The views from here are pretty spectacular even on a misty day.

The John Muir Way is a 215-kilometre continuous long distance route in southern Scotland, running from Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute in the west to Dunbar, East Lothian in the east.
It was a lovely clear day when we were out for a walk on John Muir Way. My husband loves this shot as he thinks it looks like it’s Africa and the wild animals should be coming for a drink soon.

The 255km River Isle passes through Perigueux, then continues towards the south-west, eventually meeting with the Dordogne River at Libourne. En route it passes several interesting villages and towns, and has some attractive stretches to explore. Sourzac is one of the smaller villages it passes and runs along the roadside into Mussidan.
Dunbar Victoria Harbour can be found down the hill from the end of the High Street. In the corner of the harbour is the fortified artillery battery and to the south east is Cromwell Harbour. The completion of this in 1730 led to Dunbar’s dramatic growth as a fishing and, for a time, whaling port.
Between the outskirts of Aberfoyle and the foothills of Loch Lomond lies the Great Forest of Loch Ard. Here you can find many photo opportunities and this one is the Boat House on Loch Ard near Aberfoyle, Scotland.

The city is on the Alsace Wine Route, and local vineyards specialize in Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines.
