Ben Nevis from the Caledonian Canal

The Caledonian Canal at Corpach gives beautiful views towards Ben Nevis. This is a lovely place to spend time either watching the boats pass through the locks or to sit and enjoy the scenery.

There are a few walks in the area and plenty of bridges to cross over the canal. You can wander along the canal side or wander down to see the shipwreck of Corpach on the shoreline.

I would imagine that this is a place you would want to visit again as I am sure the scenery will change depending on the season. Ben Nevis stands over the water and makes a stunning backdrop to any photography from here.

There are picnic tables and benches dotted around the area so you can sit and watch the boats pass through the locks. You might even get lucky and capture the odd salute as below.

Corpach is where the Caledonian Canal reaches Loch Linnhe and the sea. It is a lovely place to stop and pass some time.
